That's completely normal. Most people feel nervous before their first group session. You're not required to share deeply right away—you can ease in at your own pace. Our facilitators create a warm, nonjudgmental space where vulnerability is honored, not forced.
No. Groups are made up of people who don't know each other, which often makes it easier to be honest. There's something powerful about sharing with people who have no preconceptions about who you "should" be.
Absolutely. Many people do both, and they complement each other beautifully. Individual therapy is your deep dive; group therapy is your community.
Currently, our groups are facilitated in English, but Spanish is welcome and encouraged when it feels natural. We honor Spanglish and the way language holds our stories. If there's interest in Spanish-language groups, let us know—we'd love to offer them.
No. You don't need a formal diagnosis to benefit from group therapy. You just need to be willing to show up, be honest, and engage with others doing the same.
