Therapy Fees & Insurance in Arizona: Transparent Pricing for Healing

We believe in accessible mental health care. Here's our clear, upfront pricing—no surprises, no hidden fees. Insurance accepted, sliding scale available, payment plans offered.

Free 15-minute consultation to discuss your needs | Multiple payment options | Investment in your healing

Healing Shouldn't Be Reserved for Those with Privilege

We know that therapy is an investment—of time, money, and emotional energy. We also know that cost is one of the biggest barriers keeping people from getting the support they need.

That's why we're committed to transparency. No guessing games, no surprise bills, no financial anxiety on top of everything else you're carrying.

We accept insurance, offer sliding scale options for those who need them, and provide payment plans to make healing more accessible. Because you deserve support, not just when you can "afford it," but when you need it.

Late Cancel / No Show Fee: $90

We Accept Insurance

We're in-network with the following insurance plans:
✔ Aetna
 ✔ Banner Aetna
✔ Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ)
 ✔ UnitedHealthcare (UHC)
 ✔ Optum
 ✔ UMR

If you have one of these insurance plans, your therapy sessions may be covered partially or fully depending on your specific plan, deductible, and copay. We'll verify your benefits before your first session and let you know exactly what you'll owe.

Good Faith Estimate for Self-Pay Clients

If you're paying out-of-pocket without using insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate that breaks down the expected cost of your services. This estimate will show you the total anticipated fees based on the number of sessions or services you plan to receive.

For example, if you're planning to attend 10 therapy sessions at $175 per session, your Good Faith Estimate would show a total of $1,750. This helps you understand and plan for the cost of care upfront—no surprises, no confusion.

You can request a Good Faith Estimate at any time by contacting our billing team. We're here to ensure you have complete clarity about costs before beginning services.

Out-of-Network Benefits:

If your insurance plan isn't listed above, we can provide you with a superbill—a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Many plans offer out-of-network benefits that reimburse a portion of your session cost.

Want to opt out of insurance?

You're always welcome to pay out-of-pocket (self-pay/cash pay) even if you have insurance. Many clients choose this option because it offers significant advantages:

You're in control of your treatment. With self-pay, you and your therapist decide your treatment goals, session frequency, and what healing looks like for you, without insurance companies dictating what's "medically necessary" or limiting how many sessions you can have.

Your privacy is fully protected. Insurance requires a mental health diagnosis in your permanent medical record. Self-pay means no diagnosis code, no claims, no documentation shared with third parties. This is purely confidential care between you and your therapist.

No claim denials or surprise bills. You'll never worry about insurance retroactively denying coverage or being stuck with unexpected costs. You know exactly what you're paying upfront, with no hidden surprises.

Truly individualized, strategic care. Your therapist can tailor your treatment to your unique needs and cultural context without insurance restrictions on modalities, session length, or treatment approach. This means more responsive, personalized healing work.

More flexibility and access. Self-pay often means easier scheduling, the ability to see your therapist as often as you need, and freedom to step down or increase frequency as your life changes, all on your terms.

If you're considering self-pay, we're here to discuss sliding scale options and payment plans that can make therapy more accessible.

Questions

We've answered what matters most about paying for care.

What if insurance won't cover?

We provide a superbill each month so you can submit it to your insurance for possible reimbursement. You're never left without options or clarity on what comes next.

Do you offer sliding scale?

Yes. We keep spots available for those who need them. Reach out and let's talk about what works for your situation—no shame, no questions asked.

What happens if I cancel last minute?

If you cancel within 24 hours or don't show, there's a $90 fee. We understand life happens, and we're here to work with you when it does.

Are extended sessions covered by insurance?

Extended sessions and EMDR or IFS intensives are cash pay only. We'll discuss pricing and what makes sense for your healing journey during your consultation.

Can I choose not to use my insurance?

Absolutely. Some people prefer to pay cash for privacy reasons, and that's completely valid. Just let us know your preference, and we'll adjust accordingly.
